Applications Now Open for the 2026 Minority Business Accelerator Program
Georgetown, SC — November 17, 2025— The Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2026 Minority Business Accelerator (MBA), a transformative 12-week program designed to help minority-owned and other underserved businesses grow, scale, and thrive.
Launched in partnership with the Chamber Foundation, the MBA equips entrepreneurs with the knowledge, mentorship, and resources to strengthen their operations and increase access to capital, networks, and new markets. The program builds on four successful years of empowering local business owners to achieve measurable growth and long-term sustainability.
The 2026 cohort will run from January through May, with sessions covering topics such as:
- Business strategy and scalability
- Financial management and access to funding
- Marketing and brand development
- Legal structure and risk management
Participants will also engage in business coaching, connect with lenders and procurement professionals, and conclude the program by competing in a Pitch Competition for cash grants to support their business goals.
“The Minority Business Accelerator has become a cornerstone of our Chamber’s mission to support equitable economic growth,” said Beth Stedman, President & CEO of the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. “Each year we see talented entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, build confidence, and create jobs that enrich our community.”
Graduates of the program become part of The Network, an alumni initiative that fosters continued collaboration, peer learning, and business-to-business opportunities.
Eligibility:
The MBA program is open to small business owners serving Georgetown County who are members of a racial or ethnic minority group, women and veterans. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to actively participate in all sessions and implement growth strategies developed during the program.
