Chamber Foundation for a Sustainable Georgetown County
Founded in 2012,the CHAMBER FOUNDATION FOR A SUSTAINABLE GEORGETOWN COUNTY is the Chamber's 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to support and advance the general welfare and prosperity of the greater Georgetown County, SC area so that its citizens and all areas of the community may prosper. The Foundation focuses on areas and programs that impact a community’s quality of life, including economic, civic, cultural, scientific, and educational development.
The Foundation supports the Chamber's Minority Business Accelerator and projects organized by Leadership Georgetown County. Some of those past projects include the installation of signage at beach access points throughout Georgetown County, purchase of the exercise stations in East Bay Park in Georgetown, donation of equipment and supplies to the Andrews Youth Center, donation of swimsuits to the YSplash program, and more.
The Foundation is non-partisan and non-sectarian and is registered with the Secretary of State of South Carolina as a public benefit corporation/ charity. Elevate Georgetown County: Expanding Opportunity Through Entrepreneurship
The Georgetown County Chamber Foundation is proud to lead Elevate Georgetown County, a growing initiative designed to support small business development and inclusive economic growth across our region.
For 2025–26, Elevate includes two key programs:
- The Minority Business Accelerator (MBA), our flagship 18-week program for minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses
- The Network, offering continued support and leadership development
