News for Immediate Release:
Time running out to register for In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk at Brookgreen Gardens
Don’t miss out on being part of the region’s largest breast cancer awareness walk this October.
Celebrating its 20th year, Tidelands Health’s In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk Saturday, Oct. 11, at Brookgreen Gardens is limited to 2,500 participants.
Deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m. or when that participation limit is reached, whichever comes first. Pre-registration is required to participate.
Register at tidelandshealth.org.
In the Pink brings the community together to celebrate breast cancer survivors, remember those lost to the disease and raise money to support breast care.
For a $35 registration fee, a participant receives a commemorative T-shirt and complimentary admission to Brookgreen Gardens for the day.
In addition to a casual walk through beautiful Brookgreen Gardens, In the Pink features interactive displays, a DJ, commemorative photo stations, a breast cancer survivors’ lounge and powerful stories of inspiration.
“In the Pink provides so much hope and encouragement and is such a special day to celebrate this community,” said Dr. Craig Brackett, a board-certified breast surgeon and medical director of the Tidelands Health breast health program. “Participants let those in our region who have been impacted by breast cancer know we walk together in pink, celebrating 20 years of hope with every step.”
Register at tidelandshealth.org.
