Tidelands Health once again recognized as one of the Top 150 places to work nationally in health care

For the third consecutive year, Tidelands Health secured a place as one of the nation’s top 150 places to work in health care.

Becker’s Healthcare, a leading source of information and forums for industry decision-makers, recognized the not-for-profit health system for prioritizing workplace excellence and happiness, satisfaction, well-being and fulfillment of its 2,500-plus team members. The benefits package, workplace flexibility and work-life balance the health system provides for employee partners also were factors that earned Tidelands Health a spot on the coveted list

Tidelands Health is one of only two health systems based in South Carolina to earn the recognition.

“The recognition from Becker’s Healthcare is a testament to the incredible work our team members do to create an award-winning culture,” said Jeremy Stephens, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. “We’re proud of the work we’ve done to prioritize the health, well-being and personal development of our team members and believe wholeheartedly that when your team feels appreciated and supported, so do patients and our community.”

Tidelands Health invests in and celebrates its dedicated employee partners, known as “Team Tidelands.” The health system provides scholarships, tuition assistance and leadership programs through its McRoy and Jo Skipper Initiative for Learning and Teaching and organizes an annual picnic and softball game to celebrate team members during Team Tidelands Week in May.

Health care organizations featured on the Becker’s list are top-tier employers that assist in teammates’ professional and personal development, offer wellness benefits that address whole-person health and provide opportunities to give back to the community. The Becker’s list also celebrates health care institutions that actively push for diversity in the workplace, promote a healthy work-life balance and enhance employee engagement.

“These organizations are committed to supporting their teams through comprehensive benefits, opportunities for both personal and professional growth, inclusive and empowering work environments and resources that promote a healthy work-life balance. Many also extend their positive impact beyond the workplace, engaging in community service and championing social responsibility,” Becker’s wrote in an article announcing the top places to work.

In addition to the Becker’s honor, Tidelands Health has twice earned “High Performance” recognition from Gallagher, a global firm specializing in HR benefits and consulting.

One of the largest employers in the region, Tidelands Health continues to hire additional team members in a variety of positions. Check available jobs and apply at tidelandshealth.org/careers.
