    News for Immediate Release:

This Saturday‘s In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk rescheduled to Nov. 1 because of weather
The Tidelands Health In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk, which had been scheduled for this Saturday at Brookgreen Gardens, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1.
Forecasted heavy rain and strong wind gusts prompted Tidelands Health to reschedule the signature event, which is celebrating its 20th year.
“While we’re eager to come together in pink, the safety of our participants, volunteers, team members and community is our top priority,” said Beth Conatser, Tidelands Health philanthropy director. “We’ve been keeping a close eye on the forecast and have decided to reschedule In the Pink for Saturday, Nov. 1, as we strive to provide the best event experience for our 2,000-plus participants.”
Current registrations will automatically be honored for the event Saturday, Nov. 1, at 8:30 a.m. Registration for those who haven’t already registered will remain open at tidelandshealth.org until Thursday, Oct. 30, or until the event reaches capacity.
In the Pink brings the community together to celebrate breast cancer survivors, remember those lost to the disease and raise money for the Tidelands Health breast care fund. In addition to the walk through Brookgreen Gardens, In the Pink features a DJ, commemorative photo stations, a breast cancer survivors’ lounge and stories of inspiration.
“We appreciate the community’s understanding,” Conatser said, “and we look forward to coming together in pink Saturday, Nov. 1, for a special day of camaraderie -- sending a strong message that those affected by breast cancer never walk alone.”
Find more details or register for the Nov. 1 event at tidelandshealth.org.
