CARETEAM PLUS EXPANDS HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO PAWLEYS ISLAND

Careteam Plus, Inc., a Conway, South Carolina based Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike (FQHC-LA) that offers integrated primary care, pediatric care, an on-site pharmacy, and laboratory, is set to open a new Pawleys Island location in mid-December 2023.  Careteam Plus will now have two coastal South Carolina locations, the first in Conway and another in Pawleys Island. The Pawleys Island health center will be conveniently located off business 17 at 239 Business Center Drive in Pawleys Island.

“Careteam Plus is dedicated to the needs of the communities we serve, and we found that there was a great need for primary care throughout Georgetown County. We are here to bridge the gap to convenient access to exceptional health care services,” says Johanna Haynes, CEO of Careteam Plus. “We are accepting new patient appointments now for our new location and we expect to expand our primary and pediatric care services extensively by adding experienced providers to our care team.”

Careteam Plus has provided in-person healthcare services to all ages, from young children to adults in Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties since its opening in 1993. As a FQHC-LA, Careteam Plus offers a sliding fee scale to qualifying patients based on income and family size for medical appointments, labs, and pharmaceutical needs. The new space includes eleven medical exams rooms, a future radiology room, a laboratory, medical case manager offices, on-site pharmacy, and team rooms for the medical staff. A grand opening celebration of the new location is planned for this winter.
