29th Annual Blessing of the Inlet
Murrells Inlet?s beloved tradition, The Blessing of the Inlet, is back for its 29th year! This cherished festival will occur on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9 AM to 2 PM at Belin United Methodist Church. With free admission and parking, all are welcome to enjoy a day of community, food, and entertainment?rain or shine! The festival's highlight, the Blessing of the Inlet ceremony, will begin at 10 AM in front of the cross on the inlet. Pastors Will Malambri, Sandra Stevens Poirel, and JT Brown will lead this meaningful event, which will offer a spiritual start to a day filled with celebration. Beyond the blessing, visitors can explore a variety of arts and crafts vendors, delicious food from local restaurants and food trucks, and a fantastic children?s play area featuring a waterslide, bounce house, and fun games. Join the Georgetown County Chamber staff in Murrells Inlet as we celebrate Lee's Inlet Kitchen's 77th Anniversary! Known for their fresh seafood with many of the recipes handed down from generation to generation and still made the original way! Serving dinner Monday thru Saturday from 4:30p - 9:00p.
Biking at Swampside Tract at Black River Cypress Preserve
Using single speed bicycles and a guide supplied by BRCP, participants will bike the Black River Cypress Preserve in Andrews, SC and visit some of the diverse ecosystems it has to offer! Fresh water swamps and upland forests await those who want to explore by bicycle. This 2.5 hour event will cover 5 ? 6 miles of either crushed granite or grassy trails with plenty of stops along the way. We have 2 men?s bikes with toddler seats and a range of bikes suitable for children 6 years and up. Bring your own water and dress for the weather in comfortable layers.

Friends of the Waccamaw Library (FOWL) presents Blossoms for Books - Celebrate Spring with visits to 7 new homes plus Lee Brockington's Blue Whale Farm where Jeremiah?s Food Truck will offer a picnic lunch under the oaks! Check out the Live Auction ''The Gang's All Here'' Ceramic Bowl by Ginger Hayes. All proceeds benefit our Waccamaw Neck Branch Library. Carpooling is encouraged. Those with three or more in one car will be entered in a raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Bistro 217. Event will be held Rain or Shine.
