You will find fun new, and used, great looking costume baubles and rings, plus fine original estate and modern pieces. Did we mention shoes?? Yes, shoes as well as cute and chic designer leather purses. We will travel by 15-passenger van down to Charleston and make four Consignment Shopping stops. Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting: Brookgreen Gardens Purdy Welcome Center and Conservatory Gardens
You are invited to attend Brookgreen Gardens Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to welcome the public to its new Welcome Center and Conservatory Gardens, The Purdy Center. Enjoy light refreshments and tours of The Great Hall, Veranda, Gaia Walk, Atrium and the Pond Garden Walk. The Purdy Center serves as the Welcome Center for Brookgreen Gardens, provides additional event and educational program space, and includes a new Contemporary Conservatory. The Purdy Center has transformed the campus, welcoming guests from around the world and enabling Brookgreen to expand horticulture programs. Guests can enjoy an accessible, year-round garden to explore tropical biomes, including a butterfly garden to educate children and families. The Conservatory Great Hall is the public centerpiece featuring skylights, clear story windows, and accordion doors opening onto an expansive courtyard. With ever-changing botanical displays, a floor-to-ceiling Green Wall showcasing tropical plants, and an array of hanging baskets and planters, this space is a seamless extension of the Gardens. Outside, the Conservatory Veranda, an elevated terrace featuring a Kalwall shade in the shape of butterfly wings, pays tribute to Anna Hyatt Huntington's original design of the formal Gardens in the 1930s. A landscaped Courtyard serves as a gathering space for Brookgreen's programs and tours, doubling as a private event space for special occasions. The Center is named for Verl and Sandra Purdy of Charlotte, NC, and the Peninsula at Inlet Point South at Litchfield, SC, in honor of their leadership, support, and love of the Gardens as Honorary Trustees.

Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens
Experience one of the most beloved holiday events in the Southeast, Nights of a Thousand Candles. See Brookgreen Gardens come to life amid the soft glow of more than 2,700 hand-lit candles and millions of sparkling lights. From 4 - 9 p.m. walk the paths with a warm cup of cider, hear the sounds of holiday music, and celebrate the season with family and friends! Harvest Restaurant is open during Nights of a Thousand Candles, and reservations are recommended. However, to have dinner at Harvest, you must also have tickets to Nights of a Thousand Candles. Campbell Catering will be located at the Leonard Pavilion. Offering a selection of Lowcountry favorites and there will also be Food Trucks nightly.
