11th Annual Tribute to The Band at the PIT!
Rock out with us at Pawleys Island Tavern! ?The Band? was one of the most influential groups of the late 1960?s through the mid- 1970?s. Many folks recognize their hits like ?The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down?, ?Up On Cripple Creek?, and ?Ophelia?.Martin Scorsese?s popular movie ?The Last Waltz? is about the ending of their 20 years on the road. The Band has been, and continues to be, an important influence on Rock, Country, Americana, and Folk performers. We put together a nine-piece backup band and invite up to 30 of the most popular gigging musicians in the area come to sing/play on a Band song or two. It is three straight hours of songs by The Band. The event will also be a fundraiser for All4Four Paws animal rescue. Proceeds from T-Shirts, posters, 50/50 raffle and more will go directly to All4Paws! Enjoy food trucks and vendors!
