Common Issues/Common Threads Get-Together: Networking for Nonprofits!
You are Invited to join us for a lunch networking experience designed specifically for nonprofit representatives! This session will be guided and facilitated by Marlanda Dekine to create generative discussion. Please join us as we make space for new and creative ideas to benefit our neighbors here in Georgetown County! The goal of this session is to engage nonprofit leaders in relationship-building through inquiry and networking and sharing the giftedness of your organizations in Georgetown County, highlighting the value of shared leadership and collaborative programming. Lunch will be provided at 12:30, with the presentation to follow at 1PM.

Here's a short synopsis of our next Book Club Pick! Come join us VFW Post 6444, Georgetown South Carolina on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm. All are welcome - you do not have to be a post member to join us! May's book is ''The Woman in the Cabin'' by Becca Day''! Hiking at Black River Cypress Preserve Peninsula Tract
Guided by a BRCP employee, guests will be hiking on the newest trail system at the Black River Cypress Preserve, The Peninsula Tract off of Hammock Road, in Andrews, SC. Guests will visit this beautiful hardwood swamp along the Black River, exploring by foot. This 2.5 hour event will cover 2 to 3 miles of either crushed limestone or grassy trails with plenty of rest stops along the way. Bring your own water, wear good shoes, and dress for the weather in comfortable layers.
Blossoms for Books Garden Tours
Friends of the Waccamaw Library (FOWL) presents Blossoms for Books - Celebrate Spring with visits to 7 new homes plus Lee Brockington's Blue Whale Farm where Jeremiah?s Food Truck will offer a picnic lunch under the oaks! Check out the Live Auction ''The Gang's All Here'' Ceramic Bowl by Ginger Hayes. All proceeds benefit our Waccamaw Neck Branch Library. Carpooling is encouraged. Those with three or more in one car will be entered in a raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Bistro 217. Event will be held Rain or Shine.
