Botany and Birds at the Black River Cypress Preserve Swampside Tract
Limited to 15 participants. Guided by Maureen Mulligan, local botanist, you can join us for a fall wildflowers and birding hike focusing on those plants that are attracting fall insects as well as the birds who are flying through. Participants will hike a portion of the preserve and visit some of the diverse ecosystems it has to offer. Fresh water swamps and upland forests await those who want to explore by foot. This 3 hour event will cover about 3 miles of either crushed granite or grassy trails, but going off trail into the woods is an option so wear good shoes. Bring your own water, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather in comfortable layers.

Whether you?re a local looking to learn more about the haunted past of Murrells Inlet or a visitor seeking a memorable experience, our Inlet Ghost Cruise offers an unforgettable evening on the water. The Explorer is a United States Coast Guard Certified and Inspected vessel that is 54' in length with a bathroom on board. There is also a cash canteen onboard with a limited selection of beer, wine and snacks for purchase. No outside food and beverages permitted. Please note, this trip may include music, loud pops and noises, lights and more to enhance the stories being shared.
