Revolutionary War Reenactors

Hopsewee Plantation is delighted to host our favorite Revolutionary War Reenactors, The Hugh Giles Britton's Neck Regiment of Militia on Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2, 2025!

They will have their cabin open and in operation - all kitted out with rope beds and lanterns, cook pots, and other necessaries of colonial life.  Don't miss the fun and educational opportunity to learn more about our local Revolutionary War heroes and witness colonial life up close and personal!

Hopsewee Plantation is open at 10:00 am. If you are at Hopsewee doing a tour, the museum or dining, there is no additional fee to interact. Otherwise, there is a grounds fee. Please stop by the check-in counter located in our River Oaks Cottage Tea Room (the red-roofed building).
