EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.
Barnabas Horse Foundation has made the difficult decision to cancel its annual Hot Chocolate and Horses Community Open House, originally scheduled for Saturday, December 6, due to ongoing rain and unsafe muddy conditions on the farm.
After several days of heavy rainfall, the grounds have become too saturated to safely accommodate guests, volunteers, and horses. The well-being of our visitors - especially children and older adults, along with the safety of our animals remains the highest priority.
"We know how much our community looks forward to this event each year and we were deeply excited to welcome everyone," said the Barnabas team. "However, the weather has created conditions that simply aren't safe for parking, walking, or hold demonstrations. Cancelling is the most responsible choice."
Barnabas Horse Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers, partners, and supporters who had prepared to make this event memorable. Their time, enthusiasm. and generosity continue to be the backbone of the organization's mission to provide trauma-informed equine assisted services for survivors of crime, veterans, and first responders.
Although, this year's Hot Chocolate and Horses is canceled, Barnabas remains committed to serving the community and looks forward to welcoming guests at future events in 2026.
