Name: Grand Strand Area Transportation StudyDate: April 1, 2021Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM EDTEvent Description:There will be a public meeting to present the findings of the Draft US 17 Corridor Study in Georgetown County. The project study area covers the Waccamaw Neck area of Georgetown County from the Waccamaw River bridge to the Horry County line. The project consultant, AECOM, has analyzed the existing conditions observed along the corridor. The projected 2040 traffic conditions and the resulting transportation improvement recommendations that will help maintain US 17 as a safe and efficient corridor will also be reviewed during the presentation.
The draft document can be viewed on the home page of the GSATS website- www.gsats.org. The website also includes videos that provide a simulation of the key recommendations along the corridor. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions following the presentation.
