Join us in Pawleys Island for Winslow Law's 3rd Annual Friendsgiving - a time to share great food and even greater purpose! We'll supply the main dishes (turkey and ham). We invite you to bring your favorite side or dessert and a donation (canned food, gift card, or monetary contribution) to support our new partner, Carolina Human Reinvestment. All donations will go toward our ''Give 'Em The Bird'' initiative the following day, providing Thanksgiving meals for 50 local families in need. Sweet Potato Festival: From the Revolution to Today: Food, Freedom & Legacy
Celebrate Georgetown Rev 250 at the Sweet Potato Festival and enjoy food, history and community! For our Inaugural event we’re sharing the untold story of Oscar, the enslaved personal servant of Gen. Francis Marion, the “Swamp Fox.” His story reminds us that the Revolution wasn’t won by generals alone—but by the lives, labor, and resilience of people too often left out of history. Living history demos, Sweet Potato Pie Contest, Tea tasting & artisans, Storytelling + culture and more! The Sweet Potato Festival celebrates South Carolina’s Revolutionary War history while highlighting the enduring contributions of African American and Native American communities. Through reenactments, educational presentations, indigo and agricultural demonstrations, and community partnerships, the event connects past and present under the theme: “From the Revolution to Today: Food, Freedom & Legacy.”
