News for Immediate Release: Tidelands Health names chief information officer
An information technology specialist with more than 25 years of experience, including a dozen years in health care leadership, has been named vice president and chief information officer at Tidelands Health.
Will Johnson will oversee the health system’s technology infrastructure and lead the implementation of the latest technology for delivery of high-quality patient care and streamlined, efficient health system operations. He also will lead the information technology services department and serve as a key member of the Tidelands Health leadership team.
Johnson is a digital innovator and business leader who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the region’s largest health care provider. He has served in a number of leadership positions during his career, most recently as executive director of enterprise value delivery, which includes IT strategy, governance and execution at Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in business administration from Johns Hopkins University – Carey Business School. He holds numerous certifications, including certified health care CIO, certified organizational change management professional and certified professional in health care information and management systems. He is a fellow of the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society.
