              Myrtle Beach, SC, June 15, 2023:  These Grand Strand businesses continue to show their support and commitment by renewing their membership to the Autism Travel Club with Champion Autism Network and are Autism Ready.  Beach Services, Ltd., Benjamin’s Bakery & Coffee Roasters, Golden Egg, Hamburger Joe’s NMB.

              As an Autism Ready business, the business has enrolled in autism training and provides accommodations to people and families with autism.

              Becky Large, Champion Autism Network Executive Director, says about the continued support of these businesses, “having places for our people living with autism to go to without judgement, anxiety or worry is the CAN vision and mission.  We are so grateful to all of them for their continued support and inclusion.”

              About Autism:
              Autism is a general term used to describe a group of complex developmental brain disorders – Autism Spectrum Disorders. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by communication difficulties, social and behavioral challenges, and repetitive behaviors making unfamiliar environments triggers for tantrums and meltdowns. An estimated 1 in 36 children in the U.S. is on the Autism Spectrum and that number is increasing.
