Guided by Maureen Mulligan, local botanist, join us for a spring ephemeral flora hike focusing on those plants that are emerging for the year. Participants will hike a portion of the Preserve and visit some of the diverse ecosystems it has to offer, examining the plants found along the way. Fresh water swamps and upland forests await those who want to explore by foot.
This 3 hour event will cover about 3 miles of either crushed granite or grassy trails; going off trail into the woods is an option, so wear good shoes. Bring your own water, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather in comfortable layers.
