SUMMARY:Women's Retreat: Glamping with Lee at a Pee Dee River Farm
DESCRIPTION:Join Lee Brockington for three days and two nights on a rustic retreat to her friend's family farm on the Pee Dee River near Pamplico in Florence County. "Glamping" means camping\, but in cabins with beds\, lights\, linens\, and a flushing toilet. Gas logs\, pot belly stoves\, a fire pit\, good country cooking\, free range chicken eggs\, and cowboy coffee makes glamping more fun in so many ways.\n\n\n\nThe Finklea Farm is a large acreage with gates\, planted fields\, wild game. Beds in the Old Cabin\, the Sugar Shack\, and the Penthouse (an old grain bin) offer views of the river below from perfect porches. \n\n \n\nLee leads walks and talks on history and ecology\, sisters/owners Flo and Marsha cook two breakfasts\, one lunch and two suppers\, while Flo's husband Phil grills and helps us chill! You can do as little or as much as you like with Lee in the fields\, on the trails\, and on the pontoon.\n\n\n\nWe will car caravan from Blue Whale Farm in Pawleys at 10 AM on Monday for the 70-minute trip with lunch (Dutch Treat) at a diner on the way. Returning Wednesday late morning.\n\n \n\nBring: Flashlight\, insulated mug\, walking shoes\, jackets\, hat\, pajamas\, bedroom shoes\, adult beverage of choice\, and baby wipes (only a cold outside shower)!\n\nActivity level: Medium. Stairs\, uneven ground\, tree roots\, hiking (optional).
