His story reminds us that the Revolution wasn't won by generals alone but by the lives\, labor\, and resilience of people too often left out of history.  Living history demos\, Sweet Potato Pie Contest\, Tea tasting & artisans\, Storytelling + culture and more!\n\n\n\nThe Sweet Potato Festival celebrates South Carolina's Revolutionary War history while highlighting the enduring contributions of African American and Native American communities. Through reenactments\, educational presentations\, indigo and agricultural demonstrations\, and community partnerships\, the event connects past and present under the theme: "From the Revolution to Today: Food\, Freedom & Legacy."
