DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting of the General Francis Marion mural at the Georgetown County Musuem in Georgetown!  Marion is Georgetown's military hero\, also known as the Swamp Fox\, The mural stretches 16' x 20' and was painted on an exterior wall of the museum.  The South Carolina 250th Commission designated Georgetown to create the Francis Marion Interpretive Center which is scheduled to open March 1\, 2025.  The mural of General Francis Marion is the first installment of that Center.
