Lee Brockington\, a new board member of the Friends of Charleston National Parks\, introduces the speaker Ms. Kaley Crawford\, a National Park Service ranger for a talk on Eliza Lucas Pinckney and her extended family.\n\n\n\nThe Pinckney men and women were 18th leaders in agriculture\, politics\, the law\, the US Constitution\, and Lowcountry culture. With the recent re-opening of the Charles Pinckney National Park in Mt. Pleasant\, NPS staff has new opportunities to discuss archaeology\, architecture\, agronomy\, the lives of the enslaved\, and plans for all four NPS sites in Charleston.\n\n\n\nLearn more about upcoming events at Fort Moultrie\, Fort Sumter\, the Charleston Light\, and Historic Coast Guard Station on Sullivan's Island.
