Area military veterans and their families\, friends and supporters are invited to the 15th annual Salute to American Veterans. \;The event is free to the public\, and complimentary refreshments will be provided. \; \;The event is sponsored as a public service by Goldfinch Funeral Home\, Coastal Carolina University\, Joseph Sanders Dentistry of Conway\, and HTC. \; The event\, which is designed to honor veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces\, will feature patriotic music\, presentation of the colors by a color guard\, a performance of service branch anthems\, recognition of veterans from the various service branches\, and the premier of a new documentary film entitled &ldquo\;A Wild and Perilous Life&rdquo\;-- Mountain Men &\; the American West\, and chronicles the dramatic story of the Mountain Men of the early 19th century fur trade amid the spectacular scenery of the American West.
\n\n&ldquo\;We invite all veterans to attend this event as guests of honor\,&rdquo\; said George Goldfinch\, whose firm is one of the program&rsquo\;s sponsors. &ldquo\;We also invite their families and friends &ndash\; and all members of the community &ndash\; to participate in this special event as a way of expressing appreciation for the men and women who have worn the uniforms of our armed forces.&rdquo\; The auditorium opens at 7 p.m. and parking assistance will be available.
