News for Immediate Release:
Tidelands Health’s comprehensive care response to COVID-19 was highlighted at a statewide conference of case managers.
Monica Grey, vice president of care continuum and digital health at Tidelands Health, was a featured speaker for the American Case Management Association, South Carolina chapter, fall conference, which is being held virtually this month.
Grey presented an overview of Tidelands Health’s efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide care, support, expert information and resources to community members across the care continuum. The health system’s strategy included shifting resources, creating a Nurse Line for community members to call for the latest COVID-19 information and to get answers to their questions, increased use of telehealth appointments and outreach to vulnerable populations.
The health system also developed and distributed fliers with COVID-19 information and testing resources, partnered with local food pantries and churches to reach community members in need and earned grants to assist with disparities related to COVID-19.
“Our team at Tidelands Health really rose to the challenges presented by COVID-19 to take care of our community members in a variety of ways and serve as a go-to resource for accurate information about this new virus,” Grey said. “I’m proud to share our success with others across South Carolina at the state’s American Case Management Association fall conference.”
The association is comprised of nurses, social workers and other professionals supporting hospital or health system case management.
