Plantersville Summer Academy & Summer Bridge Program
Registration Opens March 1st
Plantersville, SC Plantersville Summer Academy (PSA) and Summer Bridge (SB) Program registration will open on March 1st for residents of Plantersville and on March 15th for the remainder of Georgetown County. Plantersville Summer Academy is open to students entering kindergarten through 9th grade.
“We fully anticipate having our scholars back on campus this year. Due to construction at Plantersville Elementary School, we will be holding our summer programs at Carvers Bay High School,” stated Program Director Queen Funnye.
PSA and SB will begin Monday June 21st and continue through Thursday July 29th. The full-day, 4-day a week program provides classroom instruction in preparation for the grade the scholar will be entering in the fall by certified teachers for a portion of the day with the remaining time focused on experiential activities based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM), field trips, and guest speakers along with 3 nutritious meals/snacks. “This year we are excited to be offering several new programs and activities for our scholars,” stated Mrs. Funnye.
