G3 Engineering & Surveying celebrates 10 years!
 
Pawleys Island, SC (February 2021) –
 
February marks the 10^th anniversary of G3 Engineering & Surveying. G3 Engineering was founded in February 2011 by David Gantt and Jim Green; and later expanded in 2012 to include Felix Pitts. In 2017, Ken Crawford joined the partnership and G3 Surveying was formed to support the expanding needs of our clients and projects. Last year, G3 combined the businesses and now operates under the G3 Engineering & Surveying banner. Comprised of nearly 30 employees, the growing firm continues to thrive in an expanding and demanding market while maintaining the importance of culture for employees and consistency for clients.
David Gantt has over 28 years of civil engineering and site planning experience in residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal projects. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in South Carolina, North Carolina, David has worked locally in the Lowcountry for nearly 20 years. He has concentrated much of his work in Georgetown County, Horry County, Brunswick County, and The City of Myrtle Beach.
Jim Green brings over 30 years of expertise in civil engineering and construction management to G3 Engineering. Having begun his career as a Designer and Project Manager for a Charleston area engineering firm, he understands development in coastal areas of South Carolina. Jim brings a unique perspective from the development side, spending more than 11 years as Director/Vice President for National and Regional Real Estate Developers. Throughout his career, he has managed the design and development of well over 6,000 residential units in North and South Carolina, including everything from first time buyer to high end resort properties.
Felix Pitts has more than 20 years of site planning and entitlement experience on resort, residential, and commercial projects. Such projects have involved site planning and master planning, rezonings, annexations, planned use development (PUD) preparation and project utility coordination.
Ken Crawford brings 30 years of land surveying experience to the group. Licensed in both North and South Carolina, Ken is familiar with all aspects of the public and private sectors and has significant knowledge on both large and small projects.
Over the past ten years the principals of G3 have brought with them the many years of industry knowledge, with the experience and resources to meet project demands, both large and small, while providing clients with the personalization and attention to detail they deserve. Unlike many firms, the principals are hands-on and actively work on current projects to ensure quality work for every project and client. David, Jim, and Felix are proud of the team, the services, the clients, and the communities in which they operate.
